Yahiko Shrine

Yahiko Shrine is a Shinto shrine located at Niigata prefecture in Chubu district. The shrine is dedicated to Ame no Kaguyama no Mikoto ( the god of land reclamation ). It was listed in the Register of Deities of the Engishiki (the laws of the 10th-century Japan) , and was occupying the highest rank among the shrines of a province.

Hudoki

Fudoki (風土記) are ancient reports on provincial culture, geography, and oral tradition presented to the reigning monarchs of Japan, also known as local gazetteers. They contain agricultural, geographical, and historical records as well as mythology and folklore.
